Sacred Valley tour
The Sacred Valley Tour is a captivating journey through one of the most beautiful and historically significant regions of the Andes. Located between Cusco and Machu Picchu, the valley boasts breathtaking landscapes of rolling valleys, fertile farmlands, towering mountains, and winding rivers. This area was once the heart of the Inca Empire.
This full-day tour begins with a scenic drive through the valley, where travelers can enjoy panoramic views and authentic Andean villages. With Peru Xcapes, your journey will be smooth, safe, and relaxing, allowing you to fully appreciate the region’s changing landscapes and cultural richness.
The first highlight is Pisac, famous for its impressive Inca archaeological site perched high above the valley. From there, you can enjoy sweeping views of the valley’s terraces and mountains. Next, visit the vibrant Pisac Market, where local artisans showcase colorful textiles, handmade crafts, and traditional products reflecting centuries-old Andean traditions.
The tour continues through the valley to Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley. This area is surrounded by lush scenery and snow-capped peaks and is known for its agricultural importance and tranquil atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Andes.
Next, the journey leads to Ollantaytambo, one of the best-preserved Inca towns in Peru. Explore its remarkable stone terraces, temples, and water channels, and walk through its original Inca streets, which are still inhabited today. This site showcases the Incas’ impressive engineering and urban planning skills.
The final stop is Chinchero, a charming Andean village renowned for its colonial church, Inca foundations, and traditional weaving demonstrations. Visitors can learn about ancestral textile techniques here and enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and farmlands.

Browse our list of frequently asked questions about our trips and drivers.
Our pickup time is flexible. Our driver will coordinate with you to confirm the start time of your Sacred Valley tour.
Peru Xcapes recommends starting early in the morning because most tour operators in the Sacred Valley begin their tours between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., when the archaeological sites and local markets tend to be crowded with tourists. Starting earlier gives you more time to explore the sites with fewer visitors and enjoy the markets in a more relaxed, authentic atmosphere.
Your driver will contact you via WhatsApp or visit your hotel at the agreed-upon pickup time. Then, they will meet you and begin your service.
If you coordinate with our driver to start from your hotel, he or she will pick you up at the scheduled time. If you would prefer to be picked up from a different location, please let us know in advance. Our driver will arrive at the agreed-upon meeting point at the agreed-upon time.
You can purchase the Cusco Tourist Ticket on Avenida El Sol at Galerías Turísticas, which is located near Banco de Crédito (BCP) or close to the first archaeological site you will visit. There is an official ticket counter where you can purchase the ticket. Please note that payment is cash only and that it is important to bring Peruvian soles because credit cards are not accepted.
To avoid the inconvenience of carrying large amounts of cash, we recommend purchasing your tourist ticket in advance at boletoperu.pe.
If you plan to stay in Cusco for four to ten days, we recommend purchasing the General Tourist Ticket, which allows access to ten archaeological sites, five museums, and one theater.
If you have three days or less, the Partial Tourist Ticket is a better option. This ticket only grants access to the main Sacred Valley sites: Pisac, Ollantaytambo, and Chinchero.
We recommend bringing between S/ 100 and S/ 200 per person. This amount will help cover the cost of the tourist ticket and lunch. You may not use all of this money, but it is advisable to have extra cash in case you would like to buy souvenirs or enjoy local snacks, such as Sacred Valley corn on the cob with cheese or other regional products sold along the way.
There are many restaurants in the Sacred Valley offering traditional local dishes, as well as buffet lunch options. For a more authentic culinary experience, our driver can recommend and take you to a suitable restaurant, where you can enjoy the flavors of the Sacred Valley.
